If we are to work towards total community development, rebuilding our nation, lifting it out of the third world, and restoring the faith of the Filipino in himself, then education and livelihood are two very important components for nation building.
The ALS A & E is a program launched by the Department of Education-Bureau of Alternative Learning System aimed to provide an alternative means of certification of learning to Filipinos who can not avail of the formal school system or have dropped out of formal elementary or secondary education.
The sponsorship covers the Instructional Manager’s allowance, materials/modules, snacks for 8 leaners, test processing fee.
This program serves as an intervention program to increase literacy among the poor. It is open to all adult members of the community who have not had formal education. Also included is a formation program for the beneficiaries’ character formation.

The sponsorship covers the facilitator’s allowance, revolving fund for materials and supplies, and other incidental expenses.
